The Solheim 2013 Cup Update - Europe has a 5-3 lead over the USA after the first day of
the Solheim Cup.
Europe’s Carlota Ciganda has been given an incorrect ruling
out of lateral water hazard.
She did not take relief within two club lengths of the
hazard, she was given approval to go back 40 yards of which she went on to hit
the side of the green and holed the 15-foot putt for a remarkable half as she
and Suzann Pattersen finished off to beat Stacy Lewis and Lexis Thompson on the
final green.
The Amercians finished the day on a positive note. Brittany
Lincicome and Brittany Lang beat Anna
Nordqvist and Gilulia Sergas.
Coverage will be updated as the day continues.
